Message from Ken Tullett, Chairman, Redruth RFC Supporters Club
The recently formed Redruth R.F.C Supporters Club committee, will be in attendance at the Players and Members evening on Thursday, 26th.August, 2004, commencing at 7.30pm,at the clubhouse. The intention being to attract members and to explain the supporters
One significant change this season is the way points are awarded. Gone is the old system of two points for a win and one for a draw. This is to be replaced by the method used for some time at higher levels of the game including the Premiership and the Celtic League. Four points will be awarded for a win, two for a draw and a bonus point for scoring four tries or losing by seven points or less.
As before our league consists of fourteen clubs each of which will play twenty-six league fixtures on a home and away basis. Gone from last season are Blackheath, Launceston (promoted), Basingstoke and Old Colfeians (relegated). Dings Crusaders have been thrown a lifeline as a result of Rosslyn Park’s sucessfull attempt to retain their National Leauge two position. We are joined by Lydney (relegated from National two) along with Havant, Hertford (promited from London One) and Reading (promoted from South West One).
